A human condition

If there is new news on this planet about human beings it may be that we fundamentally need each other.  A survival of the fittest mentality towards humanity is destructive and threatens the future of our genome.  Each human being represents a unique combination of genetic traits.  Each of these re-combinations represents our human ability to adapt and evolve in each new generation.  Every child is a new and special form of human that may hold the genetic combination necessary for our survival as a species.  In this way we all hold our specialized part of the gene pool, varied, colorful, changing, and adaptable, in each of our bodies.  In human history every time we have committed genocide or more recently "ethnic cleansing" we trimmed from the family tree valuable irreplaceable human attributes.  This diminishes our opportunity for a more varied or diverse spectrum of human re-combinations in the future.  When this is understood in light of the fact that human beings have been a successful life form on this planet as a result of a highly adaptive, responsive, genetic structure, we understand that we must regard one another as vital pieces in the matix of the human species.  We are rare.  We have incredible capacity.  We are capable cooperatively meeting the needs and enhancing the lives of every person on this planet.  This requires dynamic collaboration and an understanding of the support for life we receive from this planet.  In order to survive human beings must have food, water, shelter, and human contact.  All of these are provided for free compliments of our biosphere.  In order to thrive human beings additionally need information, personal space, open space, creative opportunity and un-regimented time. When all of these basic necessities to thrive are not met, due to a lack of human cooperation, the natural human response is stress, which ultimately leads to auto immune conditions and behaviors.   This can lead to total degradation human life.  This is no way to live.

  1. I like your take on necessities and the potential of human diversity. As we look at the conditions necessary for life and for change, we see the power that lies in variation.
